Steampacket Inn

The Steampacket is a boutique heritage bed & breakfast hotel in the heart of the historic Port Precinct.

The Steampacket Inn was originally built in the 1850s, however back then it was known a the Steam Packet Hotel, a very popular watering hole with riverman and stevedores due to its close proximity to the wharf.

 

Today it is a National Trust Classified boutique Bed & Breakfast which can accommodate up to 24 guests including children.

Vintage Double Decker Bus

Available for charter are our 2 vintage buses - the 20 seater Vulcan Charabank built in 1924 and the 32 seater double decker Commer Car Omni Bus built in 1912.

The boat has climate control heating & cooling.

Hero and Steam Packet Inn are ideally located close to the centre of town, have plenty of car/coach parking available, toilets, and wheelchair access. Hero also has a fully licensed bar, and can cater by arrangement for up to 75 people.
